Outreach

IIAS engages in various outreach activities in the areas of literature, film and art to bring a wider public in contact with Asian cultures and societies. It is involved in initiatives that have a marked relevance to today's Asian and European societies. In doing so IIAS is giving substance to its ambition to promote public understanding of present-day Asian societies.

Strategic partners are the Dutch Foundation for Literature (Nederlands Letterenfonds), the The EYE Film Institute (the former Dutch Film Museum) and the Association for Friends of Asian Art (Vereeniging Vrienden der Aziatische Kunst). In addition IIAS also cooperate with a other event partners which vary per event.
